This week aims to introduce you to the basic concepts of how Earth observation data is acquired from satellites, the underlying science that enables this and what it can help us to do.‍

Week 2 - Techniques and Technology - Part 1

This week covers the methods and technologies for observing and accumulating evidence about climate change, its impacts and its potential solutions, focusing this week on the Atmosphere and the Land.

Week 3 - Techniques and Technology - Part 2

This week covers part two of our in-depth look at the techniques and technology for observing and accumulating evidence about climate change, its impacts and its potential solutions.

Week 4 - Earth Observation in Action

This week looks at how Earth observation data is used in policy and decision-making in climate resilience, adaptation and mitigation, and in sustainable development.

Week 5 - Managing EO Data: Current Methods & Future Challenges

This final week of the course will look at how Earth observation data are managed, the current methods used, and some of the future challenges for handling and accessing large amounts of EO data.
